One of the
problems with the CR500 is the cast iron cylinder liner.
In todays world of hardened chrome rings, the standard
CR500 cylinder bore wears out way too fast because the
rings are actually harder than the cylinder liner.
That's where we come in. Using state of the art
technology, we can have the cylinder bored to match your
piston and then plated with long lasting Ni-Com. Ni-Com
will make the bore last up to 10 times longer and get
you back to doing just ring changes instead of a
complete bore, piston, and ring everytime you do a top
end. Send us your cylinder and piston and we will match
the bore to the new
piston and plate it with Ni-Com. More advantages of
having a Ni-Com plated cylinder is better ring seal,
less friction, and better heat transfer.
